His life takes an unexpected turn when he rescues a small penguin from an oil-slicked beach. Naming it Juan Salvador, Tom soon realises the bird is more than just a pet – it becomes a source of wisdom and transformation for him and those around him, including the school’s headmaster, Buckle (Jonathan Pryce).
