The ClassicOne Cinema Club: STAND BY ME (40TH ANNIVERSARY 4K RESTORATION)
After learning that a boy their age has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four boys decide to go see the body. Gordie, Vern, Chris, and Teddy encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, but they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives. Just a lark at first, the boys' adventure evolves into a defining event in their lives.<div><br></div><div>We’re bringing you a cinema club with a difference. To tie in with our lovely community library heritage, we are going to be screening classic films inspired by original books. Then, just like a book club, join other members in your screening for some complementary refreshments, to discuss your thoughts on the film and have a good old Acton get-together. </div><div><br></div><div>Why not join us at our ClassicOne Cinema Club screenings and enjoy a good chat afterwards? </div><div><br></div><div>As a community cinema, we want to make the films accessible for all, so tickets are on a pay-what-you-can basis. Tickets for carers are free, and we welcome people living with dementia and care home residents.
