CORINA KWAMI DUO: STORIES OF HOME AND AWAY

Blending stories of home and experiences across the globe, Corina Kwami brings this to life through jazz, afro and soulful connections with the backdrop of the colour blue. Storytelling sparks reflection on the past and hope for the future. And part of listening to stories is to imagine the scenes, characters and colours that are knitted together in reflections and memories. Inspired by Imaani Perry's use of the color blue in the book ‘Black in Blues’ - a springboard for telling stories of the African diaspora- , Corina builds from her earliest roots and the people who have really shaped her along the way. As a former competive swimmer, water expert and jazz vocalist, the colour 'blue' has been a source of inspiration in all senses of the word - swimming pools, freshwater and the blues roots in jazz music. From Ghana to Canada, the Caribbean to the US and many cities in between, this show will bring those 'bluescapes' of sound through a multi-media experience, together with guitarist Clement Regert.PT2H12A2026-09-12CORINA KWAMI DUO: STORIES OF HOME AND AWAY"CORINA KWAMI DUO: STORIES OF HOME AND AWAY"
