The <span style="font-size: 14.000001px;">ClassicOne Cinema Club celebrates </span>Marilyn Monroe's centenary<span style="font-size: 14.000001px;"> with </span>Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. <div><br></div><div>Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell make a magnetic duo as two showgirls pursuing a match in Howard Hawks’ bedazzled classic comedy musical. The film is based on the 1949 stage musical of the same name, which in turn is based on the 1925 novel of the same name by Anita Loos. <div><br></div><div>---<br><div><br></div><div><div style="font-size: 14.000001px;">We’re bringing you a cinema club with a difference. To tie in with our lovely community library heritage, we are going to be screening classic films inspired by original books. Then, just like a book club, join other members in your screening for some complementary refreshments, to discuss your thoughts on the film and have a good old Acton get-together. </div><div style="font-size: 14.000001px;"><br></div><div style="font-size: 14.000001px;">Why not join us at our ClassicOne Cinema Club screenings and enjoy a good chat afterwards? </div><div style="font-size: 14.000001px;"><br></div><div style="font-size: 14.000001px;">As a community cinema, we want to make the films accessible for all, so tickets are on a pay-what-you-can basis. Tickets for carers are free, and we welcome people living with dementia and care home residents.
