ClassicOne Cinema Club: DON'T LOOK NOW
The ClassicOne Cinema Club is presenting the haunting DON'T LOOK NOW. Adapted from the 1971 short story by Daphne du Maurier. Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland portray Laura and John Baxter, a married couple who travel to Venice following the recent death of their daughter. While grieving their terrible loss, they encounter two mysterious sisters, one of whom gives them a message sent from the afterlife.<div><div><br></div><div>---</div><div><br></div><div>We’re bringing you a cinema club with a difference. To tie in with our lovely community library heritage, we are going to be screening classic films inspired by original books. Then, just like a book club, join other members in your screening for some complementary refreshments, to discuss your thoughts on the film and have a good old Acton get-together. </div><div><br></div><div>Why not join us at our ClassicOne Cinema Club screenings and enjoy a good chat afterwards? </div><div><br></div><div>As a community cinema, we want to make the films accessible for all, so tickets are on a pay-what-you-can basis. Tickets for carers are free, and we welcome people living with dementia and care home residents.
